Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Program
About the Program
Electrical and Electronic Engineering undergraduate program consists of electrical plants, electronics, telecommunications, circuits and systems, electromagnetic fields and disciplines of microwave technology and robotics and control systems. Electrical Plants contains the design, operation and maintenance of high-voltage devices, and also the design of various devices that belong to electricity generation and distribution systems; Electronics, Telecommunications, Circuits and Systems include the design, development, operation and maintenance of systems operating at low voltages. The Electromagnetic fields and microwave techniques discipline involved in many systems that operate with high voltage, and also low voltage devices. Control and robotic systems are mostly used to control high voltage devices by making use of the devices which are operating at low voltage. Graduates can be able to work in telecommunication industry, alternative energy and automation systems. The Undergraduate Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is carried out in two different languages namely, English and Turkish.
Educational Opportunities
Education and training activities in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering undergraduate program are provided in laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and in classrooms with all the technological facilities up to date. There are eight faculty members who have completed master's and doctoral degrees in qualified and well-known universities. The faculty member is composed of experienced academicians who continue their scientific studies in their own fields of expertise with conducting thesis advisories to master and doctoral students. In addition to our two four-year undergraduate programs, there are Master of Science (M.S.) and Ph.D. (PhD) programs, which focus on academic research and development. Our undergraduates have the opportunity to specialize in the fields of electrical plants, electronics, telecommunications, circuits and systems, electromagnetic fields and microwave technology and robotic and control systems, which are arranged according to today's needs and expectations.
Career Areas
Graduates of this program can work at the giant sectors like telecommunications, automation, and energy; as well as can work as engineer or management in many fields of industry. Graduates can also make a major contributions on research and development in AR-GE departments of many institutions and organizations. These include Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Electricity Distribution Companies, Electricity Transmission Companies, Construction Companies, Aerospace Industries, Automotive Industry, Scientific and Technological Research Institutions, electronics and telecommunication design and manufacturing companies (eg Arçelik, Vestel Electronics, Beko, Turkcell, Aria, Huawei, Ericsson, ..).
In addition, our graduates can get a Free Engineer Consultant (SMM) authority as a member of the Electrical Engineers' Association (EMO) and they can easily carry out tasks specific to Electrical Engineering such as designing, implementing, testing, controlling and signing.
