About the Program
Cyprus International University Faculty of pharmacy, has YÖK (council of higher education) and YÖDAK approval and graduates acquire the title as pharmacist. Our faculty, which has 5 year MPharm and 6 year PharmD programs, was established in 2011 and has had its first graduates in 2015. Our faculty which is active both in academic and social perspective, is a member of different organisations First of all these organisations, our faculty is a member of European Pharmaceutical Students Association under the name of CIUPSA which has the only right to vote for Cyprus.Our pioneering national and international reputation of Faculty of Pharmacy has been crowned with obtaining accreditation from Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.Our faculty which settled in new and innovative Science and technology Building equipped with new high-tech devices in labs give importance to the theoretical and practical studies. With its powerful academic staff, Faculty of Pharmacy provides lectures in English language which graduate pharmacists follow scientific developments with the professional ethics using universal perspective .
Educational Opportunities
Cyprus International University Faculty of Pharmacy consists of 5-year MPharm program and 6-year PharmD. Students who graduate from CIU faculty of pharmacy, they obtain pharmacist title. Lectures are comprised of both theoretical and practical parts. Not only theoretical work but also laboratory work are leaded by expert lecturers where lectures and laboratory work are taken place in innovatively designed science and technology building equipped with the latest technological devices. Educational language in Faculty of Pharmacy is English.In this way, graduates will have an international perspective, and have opportunity to work all over the world as a pharmacist. Scientific developments are closely followed in ongoing education and in this light graduate pharmacists will be giving priority to health of patients and will be using the ethical values of pharmacy and following the developments in science all through their professional life.
Career Areas
Graduates from our Faculty will be able to find employment not only in Community Pharmacies but also in Pharmaceutical Industries. They will be able to work in clinical research, patent, active material development, formulation development, new product stability and pharmaceutical technology fields. They can evaluate the quality control of novel products, help in suspension, tablet, capsule preparation, clinical or basic research coordination, drug legislations, drug marketing, and in international research facilities due to their ability to carry out their profession in English. They can work as consultants in forensic science branches, health ministries, drug stores, drug analysis/synthesis facilities. Alternatively, they can continue their studies, improve critical thinking, research skills and continue their career as academics.
